If you decide not to retain the VA at day 90 for any reason, you won't owe the $2,000 buyout — that's only charged when you're taking the VA on as your direct hire — but the incubation fees already invoiced are not refunded.
Yes — you can buy out the placement at any point during the incubation if your hire is already working out. The trade-off is that an early buyout forfeits the one free replacement included in the standard model, since that guarantee is tied to running the full incubation period. Whichever month you're in when you buy out, that month's invoice still stands — we don't refund or prorate partial months regardless of the exact day.
